UTAR

Last Friday, my cousin took me to UTAR Kampar for a short visit. He gotta go back there last minute to get some card for the house security thing...so yea, he asked me to come along, and then have lunch together. The journey to UTAR kinda gives me the creeps, cause you gotta pass by a Chinese cemetery right beside the entrance to the 'Welcome to Kampar' arch (I've decided to skip the creepy stories he told me that day). The whole area was still kinda under-developed and you can tell that the houses are like those old style. The early stretch was almost kampung-like. Then there was Tesco...and mostly single storey houses along the main road. The whole place is still a small town overall, but slowly developing, thanks to the UTAR students. =)

Since, this is my first time coming to UTAR, I've decided to take lots of pictures LOL

This is the housing area specially built for students, ie the students' residence. All were 3 stories high and they have names like Oxford, Harvard and Beijing for every row of house. Cun names...design also not bad.
I realised there were also many Penang cars, meaning many people from PP coming down to study in Kampar. Rental for the master bed room is about RM400 per month if I'm not mistaken...or RM350 >.<
Running up and down this everyday guarantees efficient calorie-burning XD
Haha~good luck mopping this flight of stairs from top till bottom.

Its something you'll see during camping, where everybody dumps their shoes at the entrance of the dorms...and that place will smell superbly nice for the next few days =)

The rest of the area is mostly unfurnished >.<

Now, we're heading to campus =) The view's great though ~ with the beautiful lake and mountains right ahead.

These 2 below are the lecture halls and classrooms...
One block of this, is a few times the size of our whole Sunway shoplot lol and the design is very futuristic/modern.
This is their student's recreation place.
Where's ours?
LOL Library + students' recreation area = Resouce Learning Center!

That's the library.

Nice place for a stroll in the evening =)

They even have a garden which is awesomely big and kinda pretty XD
You can go fishing and jog, and dating, but no BBQ allowed cause they're afraid you might burn the whole place down =.=
The locals always come here to get their wedding pics taken!
They even specially hired people to plant lotus flowers! All around the lakes and ponds....XD
Must be the feng shui...

This down here, is my most favourite part of all the places in UTAR!
I think its creates a super romantic and peaceful feeling to just walkthrough it.
Similar to walking in a vineyard and going under those curly tendrils and grapes~
Plus its really shady under here, compared to the blaring heat out there.
I'm like sweating mad outside =.=
Cun huh? This is the best! XD

Well, overall, UTAR's a pretty place =) If there's a place like this in Ipoh, I would have been doing ACCA there instead =.=

Btw, these fishes are really TRANSPARENT!
You can really see through them! XD~
