Sometimes, ain't it just plain disappointing when you've put so much hope into someone, hoping that the person would not let u down, just for once? And when others have continuously been despising him, you would be the one who'd stand up and defend him. Deep down, you just hope that he will not bail out on you, hope that he isn't what the others said he is, hope that your efforts in defending him have not been for nothing.
If he did not disappoint you, then it's alright. In a way, you feel a sense of triumphant because you've proven those who have despised him wrong. He isn't what they think he is.
On the other hand, if he did let you down, and there you go, you've just given another opening for more words of despise to come piercing into your brain. Isn't this so not worth it? After all you've done, he lets you down once again. You knew this might happen and yet you're still willing to to this. Why? What for?
